Har Sinai Congregation
Celebrating Generations of Jewish Living
Har Sinai Congregation is a dynamic, caring community that honors our Jewish tradition to continue the covenant while empowering members to explore relationships with God, Torah and the world around us.
The members of Har Sinai Congregation reaffirm our mission as the nation's oldest continuously Reform Jewish congregation. In the spirit of the covenant we made with God, we strive to provide visionary leadership in our community and to cultivate in our congregants a life-long love of our Jewish heritage. We do this through:
WORSHIP (Tefillah) -- Worshiping God in the Reform way, by offering a variety of traditional and evolving spiritual practices for the religious development and fulfillment of our diverse members
COMMUNITY (Kehillah) -- Creating an open, dynamic community of men, women, children, and families of diverse backgrounds, who are all committed to being part of a warm and welcoming congregation
STUDY (Midrasha) -- Providing to all members, young and old, opportunities for study of Torah and innovative Jewish educational and cultural activities that reinforce the positive, empowering elements of Jewish life and history
REPAIRING THE WORLD (Tikkun Olam) -- Articulating and responding to the ideals of our Jewish ethical heritage and the call for social justice
COMMUNITY OF ISRAEL (Clal Yisrael) -- Strengthening our commitment to Israel and the Jewish people of all lands and working to establish understanding and commonality among the various expressions of Judaism
