Youth Groups

Molly Mazala HaSTY, or Har Sinai Congregation Temple Youth, is a vibrant organization run for and by the youth of Har Sinai Congregation. The HaSTY teens have adopted the Hippo as their mascot. Molly Mazala, Senior Youth Group Director, is the advisor for HaSTY, which runs social, educational and religious activities for 8th – 12th grade students throughout the year. Molly attends Towson University and is an Elementary Education and Special Education double major. She is a New Jersey native, but loves to call Baltimore her second home. Molly loves temple youth. Her background includes songleading, NFTY and the URJ Kutz Camp. She is excited to work with our many teens to make it a successful year. Some favorite HaSTY activities include movie nights, trips to ski, rock climb, whitewater raft and visits to amusement parks, and opportunities are provided for HaSTY-ites to join together in performing Tikkun Olam, making the world whole, by doing social action projects. HaSTY is a youth group of NFTY-Mar (the North American Federation of Temple Youth, Mid-Atlantic Region). Throughout the year, many of HaSTY’s teens travel the region attending regional events with other teens. Molly brings to our Congregation creativity, positive energy and the goal of expanding Har Sinai’s youth program.
